INDEMNITY:

“ I do hereby on behalf of myself and/or my dependents/executor, acknowledge and declare that I shall enter and stay on the premises of the CSIR, and more specifically the single quarters/home at Entabeni ("the Premises"), at my own risk and on the express condition that neither the CSIR, nor its officers/employees, shall be liable to me or my dependents/executor for any damages arising out of loss of life or bodily injuries suffered by me, or for any loss of or damage to my property or estate, arising out of any accident or cause that may occur during my stay at/visit to the Premises, whether or not such accident or cause arises out of negligence, failure, incompetence or any other act whatsoever, on the part of the CSIR or any of its officers/employees; and on behalf of myself, my executor and dependents, I do hereby indemnify, hold harmless and absolve the CSIR, its officers and employees against any damage whatsoever and legal expenses or costs that may arise out of my stay at/visit to the CSIR.”. 

The Guest hereby agrees on behalf of him/herself and any other person occupying the premises through him/her that it is a condition of his/their occupation of the CSIR premises that he/she shall not have or acquire any claim against the CSIR, nor shall the CSIR be liable in contract or delict for any general, special or consequential damages sustained by the Guest or any third party flowing directly or indirectly from this Agreement, whether due to acts, omissions or otherwise of the CSIR or its employees or agents or any other person for whom the CSIR may be held liable, and the Guest hereby indemnifies the CSIR and holds it harm-less against such claim as aforesaid. 

The Guest indemnifies the CSIR against any claim that may arise as a result of the premises becoming uninhabitable due to no fault on the part of the CSIR or forces beyond its control.

Subject to an inspection of the premises by a representative of the CSIR and the Guest on arrival and on departure, the Guest undertakes to reimburse the CSIR for any damage or loss caused to property or equipment during the Guest’s stay or repair it, prior to departure.

Upon his/her departure, the Guest shall ensure that all his/her property is removed from the CSIR premises, and hereby acknowledge edges that any property not claimed by him/her within ninety (90) days of departure shall be forfeited and donated to any charitable organisation of the CSIR’s choice.
